Welcome! Saginaw Valley Nursery & Landscape Association is proud to bring you this membership directory. We are an association with diverse business professionals from the "Green Industry," serving the counties of Midland, Bay, Saginaw and the surrounding Saginaw Valley area. SVNLA was founded by 1947 by a group of local landscape and nursery professionals. The purpose of the association was: a) to promote good feelings and meetings of a special nature among local nursery and landscape professionals; b) to advertise to the customer the convenience and advantages of buying from members of this association; and c) to prevent unfair pricing in local buying and selling. These basic principles still exist today. Since 1947 our association has grown to not only include landscapers and nursery professionals, but also include landscape designers, landscape managers, suppliers, and garden centers. Our membership consists of broad spectrum of professionals specializing in all areas of the Green Industry. From the designer, who can take your ideas and combine them with their knowledge of color, form, and texture to turn them into a vision for your plan, to our nursery growers that help even the novice do-it-yourselfer select the proper plant material for their specific needs. The landscape construction specialists can transform your terrain by adding boulders, bricks, plants, and water into a wonderful and whimsical landscape. Our landscape managers do the fertilizing, spraying, pruning, lawn mowing, and raking so you don't have to. This enables you to spend more time enjoying your outdoor living space. The landscape suppliers specialize in tools or equipment sales and rental. Areas the material suppliers can advise you in are the selection of seed and fertilizer, pavers and blocks, soils and mulches. Garden Centers are a place where you can gather a lot of this information and also enjoy the beauty of the seasons. They can show everything you need to transform your home to the beauty that you desire. Each of our members have their own special skills and experience or have the landscape supplies that are necessary to ensure that your outdoor living space is at the level of enjoyment you have always dreamed of.
